If You Came to Mexico City (by Alex)

If you came to Mexico City, you would understand me.
You would understand why I like Juarez Int'l,
Why I like going to the Six Flags,
And why I like to taste spicy enchiladas.

If you came to Mexico City, you would understand me.
You would understand why I like crowded cities,
But why I hate to travel in the littered Metro,
And why I dislike getting stuck in the traffic.

If you came to Mexico City, you would understand me.
You would understand why the city's so crazy,
Why 20 million people live there,
And why it looks like a wild zoo at rush hour.

If you came to Mexico City, you would understand me.
You would understand why the city's so unsafe,
Why people carry money in their underwear,
And why it's easier to get accosted than smiled at.

If you came to Mexico City, you would understand me.
You would understand why I like Liverpool,
Why I like visiting Bellas Artes,
And why I like going to the cathedral.

If you came to Mexico City, you would understand me.
You would understand how the buildings are as tall as trees,
And why the L.A. tower seems to touch the sky.
But moreover, you would understand me.
